About the Artist
Reuben Raymond is a Larrakia/Yindjibarndi artist who was born and raised in Perth and its surrounds.
His influences of cartoons and comics deeply intertwine with his connection to culture and country as he brings elements of traditional art to the present using tools like iPads and programs such as Procreate and Adobe.
That being said, he’s just as comfortable with a pen and paper. The uniqe style and composition of his illustrations paired with his brigh colouring and contrasting make his work stand out as a unique blend of Indigenous and contemporary is unmatched.
